Durham Sports Club Foundation

The Durham Sports Club Foundation exists to help fund the Durham Sports Club’s scholar-athlete scholarships and other awards. The Foundation was established in 2007, with then-President Harold Strawbridge taking on the project of creating the Foundation and getting it approved as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. The goal of the Durham Sports Club and the Durham Sports Club Foundation is to do more when it comes to helping our community, especially our youth with our Scholar-Athlete Award scholarships. Tax-deductible contributions are greatly appreciated!

In 2007, after much discussion, then-President Harold Strawbridge almost single-handedly took on the project of creating the Durham Sports Club Foundation, a not-for-profit organization formed with the hope of raising sufficient funds such that the dividends and interest earned from the Foundation would sustain and increase the scholarships and other awards that the Durham Sports Club presents.
